Story Of Silva Part 2

 This is the continuation of the exciting Story Of Silva, written by me. I will try to post the new parts in this story as often as I can. If you missed Part 1 check under published stories above to read it.

Marduke woke up in a soft bed, thinking that he had gone to heaven or hell. It did not take long however, to realize that he had lived through the thieves attack the other day. When his mind and fully awoken he sat up in the bed expecting the wound to hurt, however he felt nothing of the sort. He put the hand where the thieves dagger had, penetrated his skin, but there was no wound to be found.

“For how long was I out?”

“Not long, only 2 days.”

Without thinking, he had spoken out is thought aloud, and as he got his answer, a woman emerged from the darkest corner of the simple room he was in. He recognized her immediately, it was the same woman who had helped him survive his ordeals with the bandits.

“You, who are you? And why am I not wounded?”

“One, question at a time knight.

  I am Silva, and I healed you.

He could not believe what he heard now. Healed him? Even with the most powerful herbs it would have taken weeks to even move after getting such a wound.

“What kind of witchcraft is this?!

  No one can heal a wound of that size this fast!”

“With magic anything is possible. Now, I told you my name, but what is yours?”

“Marduke.”

He answered out of pure politeness, but he was now terrified. If she was what he thought she was, then he would surely be killed after they interrogated him with their powerful magic.

“What do you want with me?”

“I just wanted to help you, nothing more”

“Help me? Why? Are you not with them?”

Her small answers only gave Marduke more questions, he could not believe her at all. If someone outside the castle walls used magic, they would be branded as criminals, which meant that according to what she told him so far, he was in big trouble.

“Them? Oh, you must mean the Shadow League.

  Yes, I was with them, but I left and will never return there.

  Don't look so terrified Marduke, I am not going to hurt you.”

She opened the door and went out of the room. Marduke could not believe a word she said. He noticed that his sword and armor had been put into his room with him, and he started to dress quickly. He peeked into the next room, to see that Silva, stood by a table with her back turned against him and the door, looking at some parchment. With the hand on his hilt he was ready to strike at her and bust out of this place.

The Fiction Side Of: Mega Man The Original Series

I would like to take a look at a story that I have followed for the longest of times. The story about Mega Man. For those who don't know, Mega Man is a Videogame series created by Capcom that have ran from 1987 up to these modern times. In this time the game have managed to create one of the more confusing fictional storylines that, I have had the pleasure of experience. This will be my effort to piece the story together, from Mega Man 1 to 10.

So let's take a look at The Fictional Side Of: The Mega Man series!

Mega Man:

Ok, so Dr. Thomas light creates the worlds first humanoid-lifelike robots named Rock and Roll. Rock became a lab assistant and Roll became a housekeeping robot. Together with his assistant,
Dr. Wily he also created 6 master robots that would help humans with their more difficult everyday tasks in life. These robots were, Cut Man, Ice Man, Elec Man, Fire Man, Bomb Man and Guts Man.

In secrecy Dr.Wily reprogrammed these robots to do evil instead and ran of with them. Rock, who had resisted Wilys programming volunteered to be rebuilt to the super fighting robot Mega Man! And set out to stop Wily.

Mega Man 2:

So Wily was defeated by Mega Man, but when he got the chance, he decided to build his own robots
that were designed with only fighting in mind. So Mega Man had to fight wily and his goons once again.

Mega Man 3:

Wily was, once again, defeated and decided to become a nice guy again. Together with Dr.Light, he decided to build Gamma, a robot that supposedly would make sure no other bots could go rouge ever again. To build Gamma, Wily and Light needed some kind of crystals, from a crystal mine. The robot masters that were tasked to mine the crystals, went berserk and Mega Man was sent to stop them. After a grueling fight Mega Man and his robot dog rush destroyed the robots, retrieved the crystals and returned to Wily and Light. That was when Wily showed his true colors, again, and stole Gamma. Mega Man hunted Wily down and confronted him in his hideout. In the battle he destroyed Gamma which made Wilys fall apart, almost taking down Mega Man in the process. But just when it seemed like our hero would be buried in the rubble, his long lost brother, Protoman enters and saves him, leaving wily to perish with his Skull Castle hideout.

Mega Man 4:

A year of piece followed after Dr.Wilys demise, and Mega Man gota well deserved rest. But then,
another mad scientist named Dr. Cossack appeared, with his own 8 robots. He claimed that these war machines were superior to anything Dr. Light ever constructed and with them he started to do evil deeds upon the world. Once again Mega Man went to battle, defeating Cossacks robots only to find out that his daughter Kalinka had been kidnapped by no other than....
Dr.Wily!!(Who would have thought that?!). Mega Man saved Kalinka and defeated Dr Wily once again.

Mega Man 5:

Soon after, Dr. Light was kidnapped by... Protoman!? Mega Mans brother had amassed a force of 8 robots to conquer the world. Mega Man defeated his robots and confronted his brother only to find out that it was not his brother that was the culprit, it was an evil copycat named Dark Man, build by Dr. Wily. With the real Protomans help, Mega Man defeated Dark Man and Dr. Wily once again.

Mega Man 6:

Some time after Wily's last defeat, a robot master tournament was held. In this contest people could
design their own robots and have them duel against each other. This competition was sponsored by a guy who called himself, Mr.X. No one knew however, that the competition was a ruse, by Mr.X to gain control of the most powerful robots, so that he could use them for his own evil plots.

Mega Man set out to defeat these robots, and during the process he found out the Mr.X was in fact, Dr.Wily! (Crazy right!?) This time Mega Man managed to capture the evil Dr and put him in jail.

Mega Man 7:

Six months later, unknown robots started to rampage through the city looking for their master. Dr.Wily. Mega Man set out to stop their rampage, only to find a new robot named Bass who also were trying to stop the rampaging bots. During the commotion Dr. Wily escaped and assisted by Bass, Mega Man went after him. After destroying 8 new robot master, Bass betrayed Mega Man and stole plans for something called: The Super Adaptor, an upgrade designed by Dr. Light for Mega Man and Rush. Bass took this upgrade to Dr. Wily who made it work for Bass and his robot dog Treble instead. After tough fight against both Bass and Dr.Wily Mega Man once again managed to be victorious, but failed to capture them as they both managed to escape.

Mega Man 8:

While Mega Man is in the middle of a battles with Bass, a comet crashes on earth. Dr. Wily manages
to be the first one on the scene, noticing a robot and a powerful energy,

called Dark Energy. The evil mastermind collects this energy and uses it to power his robots.
Mega Man arrives late to the scene and finds the robot, and sends him to Dr.Light for repairs. Mega Man himself starts to go after Wily's, Dark Energy fuled robot masters. After successfully destroying four robot masters, the robot at Dr.Lights lab awakens and breaks out. He heads for the desert, followed by Mega Man. A fight ensues between them, a fight that is interrupted by Protoman, who has come to tell Mega Man about Wily's new fortress, Ingeniously called

Wily Tower. Our blue robot hero rushed over there, only to get caught by one of Wily's robots.
He is saved by the robot from space, who now introduces himself as Duo. Duo tells Mega Man about the Dark Energy that he is destined to fight, and together they bring down the rest of Wily's robot forces and in the end Wily himself. Mega Man gets infected by the Dark Energy, but Duo helps him get rid of it. Duo went back in space not to be seen or mentioned again.

Mega Man 9:

Another 8 robot master are wreaking havoc, and the one to blame is Dr.Wily....right? NO!!

This time Dr.Wily have proof that Dr.Light is the one who have build the robots and sent them out to do evil. The proof is some video footage that show Light asking Wily to help do evil with the robots. Wily refuses since he have “Changed his evil ways”. Of course Mega Man knows that Light is innocent and decides to starts to hunt down the 8 robot masters. While doing so he unravels the shocking truth! Dr.Wily framed the good Dr.Light(who has now been taken away by the robot police) with a robot copy. So once again Mega Man goes to wily's hideout and defeats him. After the battle Dr.Wily admits defeat and brings the blue bomber to the cell where light is being held. Protoman arrives warning Mega Man that it's a trap! Mega Man refuse to listen, for some reason and Dr.Light explode sin his face (of course it was the light robot copy). Wily gloats, that Mega Man will die in the ruins of his fortress and escapes. The blue bomber is saved by Protoman, and all is well.

Mega Man 10:

A virus called the Roboenza have emerged! The virus is making robots malfunction in different ways.
Some fall ill and some goes berserk. Mega Mans sister robot, roll have been affected and no one knows how to cure the illness. Dr.Wily is attacked by robots while trying to find a cure for the virus(yea right!) and crashes with his small ship in front of Lights lab. He tells Mega Man about his medicine making machine, that he had to leave behind. Mega Man decides to defeat the robots that went haywire and go fine the machine, so the Light and Wily can cure roll and rid the world of the Roboenza. In the end it is revealed that Wily is the one who actually made the virus as a plot to fool Mega Man. Wily is defeated and has come down with a flue. He is taken to the hospital, where he breaks out from, and ummm leaves a lot of the Roboenza cure behind... for some reason.

Wow! That was a lot of fiction to cover from the original Mega Man series! As you can all see the plot is very basic and it feels mostly like comic relief. It is however a plot that in some way or another ties in to the Mega Man X series, that I will write about some other time.

While the story in the Mega Man Series is not as well crafted as in many other games, I find it simple, crazy and hilariously stupid at times. I think we all have to enjoy some crazy storylines from time to time, in the midst of all seriousness.

Story Of Silva Part 1

This the first Flash Segment of my first story published here on The Fiction Side Of Things. It's a small Fantasy piece that aims to tell about the journey of two people, in a land with mystery and magic. Enjoy! And feel free to comment below!

The Story Of Silva – Part 1

He had been traveling for quite some time now. It had only been him and his horse for this long, and now he stood here, on the muddy road, surrounded by bandits. Marduke was good with a sword, even one of the best in the kingdom, but not even he could stand a chance, alone against 10 well armed thieves. They wore simple leather clothing but they had both daggers and arrows aimed at him.

“Give us all of your belongings, and you might just live another day mate,” he said with a fierce voice.

“And what if I don't?”

As soon as Marduke had given his response the bandit leader charged at him, plunging a dagger into his gut. The sharp weapon went deep fast and he writhed in pain and fell to the ground. It was a shame that the dagger had gone through one of the few week spots that his sturdy armor possessed, and that he could not fight back against these many, cause had he drawn his sword, arrows would have pierced him from at least two sides. At once the thieves started to plunder the backpacks that were strapped on to his great war horse. But as they did, one of them suddenly fell to the ground. The thieves all jumped back in surprise and the one who acted as a leader, went to the fallen body and kicked him to confirm that he was dead.

“Who's there!,” he shouted with a trembling voice.

As he tried to locate their new enemy, a streak of darkness started dancing in against them, and the only one who had seen it yet was Marduke as he held pressure against his gushing wound. When it reached one of the bandits, it seemed to take a swirl around him, dancing to the next, not even making a noise. The previous bandit that it had visited, fell to the ground and before anyone had been able to react, all except for the leader had fallen to the mud. As the darkness stopped in front of the panicked bandit leader, it took form to the normal eye. It was a woman with a cowl over her head, and a dark slim outfit leaving next to no skin exposed. A hint of silver hair could be spotted sticking out of the cowl, but attention was drawn to what was in her hands. In them she held two weapons that looked like a couple of crooked daggers, it was nothing like Marduke had seen before.

“A girl?! We were bested by a girl?! That's it, I will cut you up now!”
“Feel free to try scum.”

The girls voice made the bandits threat feel empty. At this point the bandit rushed towards the girl trying to swipe her with his dagger, but just when his strike was about to hit her, a dark smoke surrounded her and his weapon went right through the girl that stood in front of him. It was at this point that Marduke got an idea of who this girl was. It had been talked about a secret society of individuals that specialized in assassinations and devious affairs in general. Supposedly they would kill anyone who saw them fight to hide their weaknesses, and that's why no one really knew if they existed or not. “What a sight to die with,” he thought for himself. The girl now made one small dance-like pirouette, which resulted in both her daggers cutting through the former bandit leader.

As Marduke saw him fall the ground, he himself could not manage to even sit on his knees anymore. He fell headfirst into the muddy ground, slowly loosing consciousness.

The girl picked him up and put him on his horse. Without any hesitation she mounted his trusty steed and went south.

My name is Johnny and I bid you welcome to The Fiction Side Of Things. I am a guy who loves stories of all kinds, stories in videogames, in movies and in books. I have been writing for quite some time now, and now is the time to share my fiction with everyone else.

On this blog, I will not only share my own work of fiction, I will also share other fictions that I like and information about any kind of story that I find to my liking.
I will sometimes share my own stories as Flash Story segments, that will form a bigger story when brought together.
